Queens Lacrosse Inks Four in Early Signing Period

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Head Coach Jim Fritz and the Queens University of Charlotte Royals men's lacrosse team are pleased to announce the signing of four recruits as part of the early signing period. Each player signed a National Letter of Intent and will join the Royals for their freshmen year in the fall of 2009.

"With two strong classes in a row, this year we were looking to bring in some immediate impact players and I think we did that with these four players," said Fritz. "I am excited about their athleticism and what they bring to our program."

Wes Goldsberry, a 5'10", 165 lb long stick middie from Harrison High School in Ga., originally began his career at Seneca Valley High School in Pa. A four-year letterman in lacrosse, Goldsberry helped lead Harrison to a fourth place finish in the state. He led Harrison last year with 94 groundballs and 77 turnovers caused. Goldsberry was named to the inaugural Rising Senior Georgia All-Star Lacrosse Game and to the Adidas Regional team. Goldsberry will captain the Harrison team this year and continue to play for the Atlanta Elite and the Georgia Select teams in the off season.
